Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faruk Bakan

Prof. Dr. Ahmet Faruk Bakan graduated from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering at Yıldız Technical University in 1994. He received his M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering in 1997, his Ph.D. in 2002, was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2012, and became a Full Professor in 2018.

Prof. Dr. Bakan conducts academic research in the fields of power electronics and energy conversion technologies. He has authored numerous articles published in internationally peer-reviewed journals and has presented papers at various scientific conferences.

Throughout his academic career, Prof. Dr. Bakan has been actively involved in research and development projects carried out in collaboration with TÜBİTAK and various industrial organizations. Within the university, he has held several administrative positions, including Vice Chair of the Department, Faculty Board Member, and Coordinator for Erasmus and Farabi Programs.

In addition, he has served as a member of the Executive Committee of TÜBİTAK’s Electrical, Electronics and Informatics Research Support Group. Prof. Dr. Bakan currently serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical and Electronics at Yıldız Technical University.
