Türkiye Newspaper is 54 years old…
Türkiye Newspaper, whose owner and principles have remained unchanged since its inception, has celebrated its 54th anniversary. Founded by the late Enver Ören, the newspaper continues to be the address of “accurate news, common sense, and peace” for 54 years.
Türkiye Newspaper is experiencing the joy of growing another year full of successes. With its exceptional position, unchanging owner, and editorial line, it continues to be the most stable publication in the media sector. Even in the most difficult times when our country faced great difficulties, our newspaper, with its moderate editorial policy, became a source of morale that instilled confidence in society.
Türkiye Newspaper, which started its publishing life on April 22, 1970, with modest economic means, has successfully served the Turkish people for 54 years with its stable and high-quality publishing approach, despite the challenging competitive conditions in the media sector. Named after our beautiful country, and having never written a single line that would offend the nation throughout its 54-year publishing history, our newspaper’s motto, the most valuable honor bestowed upon it by its readers, is: “The Newspaper That Brings Peace.”
Never pursuing provocative, quarrelsome, or inflammatory news, the principle of Türkiye Gazetesi is clear: to be a newspaper that adults can comfortably share with children. While in developed countries there is one newspaper for every two people, in our country with a population exceeding 86 million, the total newspaper circulation doesn’t even reach 1 million. That means there’s barely one newspaper for every 20 people. Aware of this reality, we offer our people what they want: “Accurate news, common sense, and peace.”
For 54 years, it has provided countless scientific and cultural publications, almost like a school. The select books, magazines, and encyclopedia volumes provided by our newspaper for the good upbringing of our youth now fill the libraries of homes all over the country. CDs accurately depicting the lives of great scholars and guides have become a unique educational resource. The books, encyclopedias, magazines, and regional supplements published by Türkiye newspaper constitute a library in themselves.
Children who grew up with Türkiye Çocuk magazine are now adults, qualified and well-equipped individuals, providing very important services throughout the country. The Türkiye Newspaper Calendar, like a precise guide, helps millions of our citizens schedule their time every year, appearing on their walls and desks.
On this occasion, we once again remember with gratitude and respect the late Enver Ören, the founder of İhlas Holding, who contributed the most to the birth, growth, and present-day success of Türkiye newspaper.
Looking towards the future, we promise to continue walking in the direction set by our elder brother Enver, under the leadership of Ahmet Mücahid Ören, to provide even better services to Turkish society.
Happy new years together…
